About Me
I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and completed my internship at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. After working in rural South Africa for a year, I spent two years in the United Kingdom working predominantly in London and the South East of England where I received wide and varied surgical exposure.
I then moved to Australia, and after gaining further surgical experience in Queensland and New South Wales I settled in Western Australia where I completed my surgical training and underwent post-fellowship training in colorectal surgery at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. I then spent a year working as a consultant on the colorectal unit at Royal Perth Hospital, before taking up positions at St John of God Hospital, Midland and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
I now work solely at St John of God Midland Hospital, seeing both private and public patients, dealing with a wide variety of both general and colorectal surgical diseases.
I am also involved in teaching, training and examining at both an undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and work with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons as well as all the medical schools in Perth.
